My family moved from New York to Asheboro, NC when I was a child. Although I still call North Carolina home today, I felt like an outsider early on, and started playing around with candle making – a craft that became my quiet sanctuary through high school, gently illuminating a path toward self-discovery, and allowing me to bring light and peace into any space.
I studied Biochemistry at UNC Greensboro, but when I became a mother in 2007, I realized that what I wanted most wasn’t a career that demanded my absence, but one that allowed for my presence. So I made the brave choice to leave college and focus on building the career I dreamed of; one that could sustain my family while allowing me to be a mother on my own terms.
Sincerely Candle Company was born from that decision, officially launching in 2009 (and later rebranding to Alchemia in 2025). I poured my energy into growing Sincerely while being an active homeschooling mother and was eventually called to share my candle-making skills with others – channeling my passion for service into uplifting, hands-on experiences that invite people to explore their own creativity.
Fulfilled by the joy of learning and empowered by the freedom I had cultivated through entrepreneurship I decided to return to my studies – focusing on essential oils so I could create candles for healing using aromatherapy. As a Certified Aromatherapist since December 2025, I have grown as a healer to provide a unique clinical aromatherapy service aligned with nature’s cycles while still continuing to consciously craft aromatherapy candles & herbal remedies – designed not only to support healing and mindfulness but to create community “around the fire” because “self-care” is not meant to be done alone.
